Yearbook Update: Yearbooks have arrived and are selling fast!  Don't forget to pre-order yearbooks now.  The cost is $20, and they will sell out.  A volunteer will be in the cafeteria on May 10th and 15th to collect yearbook money.  Yearbooks will be distributed close to the last week of school.  Thank you for supporting the Bear Creek K-8 Yearbook!

Parent Volunteer Needed: Girls on the Run is looking for parent volunteer COACHES for 2017-2018 school year.  Girls on the Run will start the week of September 11th at Bear Creek K-8. Girls on the Run inspires girls to a lifetime of self-respect and a healthy lifestyle through an innovative program that combines training for a 3.1 mile run/walk race with a fun, health education lesson plan. We will meet after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:15 PM. GOTR is open to all incoming 3rd through 5th graders. Registration opens soon. For more information about the program go to Questions or want to coach? Ask  Ann Freimuth

As of Friday, May 5th no more lunch loans will be given out!!!

Please make sure your kids have enough money in their lunch accounts to get them through the end of the year.  If your child does not have money they will be given the alternative lunch of cheese and crackers which is very upsetting to them and to us!! This is effective until the end of the year. All lunch accounts have to be paid off by the end of the year!! If your child has money left over at the end of the year it will transfer to the next year to any school as long as it is in Jeffco.

6th grade students that are going into 7th grade next year please know that if they do not have money in their accounts to cover the whole lunch which is $3.25 (may go up next year) they do not receive a meal. This applies to all middle school students and high school students.

If you are in need of assistance next year, please make sure you apply for free and reduced lunches before the beginning of next school year. If your child is free/reduced now you will have to apply again before the school starts next year.

Jefferson County Public Health has asked us to share information with our communities about the rise in the number of skunks with rabies found in Jeffco. So far in 2017, nine skunks have tested positive. JCPH would like to remind you to vaccinate your pets and livestock, or ensure those vaccinations are up to date.
